Belgian packaging industry already saved 465 million € in litter fees – at our expense

Over the past five years, the EU has made significant progress in developing policies and legislation to promote a more circular economy, notably through the Circular Economy Action Plan. However, the percentage of circular material use in the EU has essentially stagnated, increasing only marginally from 10.7% in 2010 to 11.5% in 2022.
